Is my toe dislocated?!


Question: today i was sprinting and stubbed my toe....i was wondering i fi dislocated it. I can still bnad my toe but it really hurt. not the actual toe but and the base of the toe it hurts(again i can bend my pinky toe still). It starting to bruise to... so overall can u bend a dilocated toe?? And what do ut hink i did?

Ouch! That's got to hurt. OK, when I broke mine, I couldn't bend it, so everyone told me to go to my doctor. I think that is the key test. Sounds like yours might be badly bruised without being broken. Even if it is broken, they generally bandage your toe to the next one. If it's a bad break, you get a plaster cast so it doesn't heal crookedly.

I would say take some painkillers - non-aspirin though, because of the bruising. Also, a tube of arnica cream is really good for reducing bruising, should cost you about $5. Hang in there, put some ice in a cloth & hold it on your toe for a while, that helps.

I would make a doctors appointment or go to the ER and get an x-ray. It most likely isn't, but I'd try.

dislocation means you have disconnected it and it is virtually near impossible to move. You have prob staved it which will make it sore and could also make it bruise
