What causes dehydration all the time, despite drinking tons of water?!

Question: I wake up every morning with the darkest urine. My heartbeat gets really faint, and it sometimes feels like my body is about to go into convulsions. I can't think straight, and whenever i drink water it just passes through my body and doesn't get into my system anymore. I went for a blood sugar test, fasted for 10hrs, and the doctor said the test result was normal.

But what else did MD say? Surely you told him what you have just told us. Did he do a urine test? Dark urine....you mean dark yellow? Gold? Brown? Did you tell him about your confusion? Surely he did more than just test your blood glucose. The rest of the test will usually tell him if you are dehydrated. If your electrolytes are off, he would surely have told you.

What did he say about these symptoms?

Sometimes, I hate to say this, that if you are feeling really bad, go to the emergency room. (I hope you have insurance)
There they do all kinds of tests, x-rays if necessary, etc.

They will do EKGs if your heart is involved......

Anyway, keep this in mind. Don't wait until you pass out and wreck the car and maybe kill yourself or someone else before you find out what's wrong.

Try to measure the amount you drink daily. Include any fluids such as jello, soups, veggies and fruits with juices in them.

Then measure your output. Keep a jar in the bathroom if possible. Even if you have to stay home from school for a day or two. Get these figures together really accurately to take to a MD. More is going on here than a simple sugar test can reveal.

Good luck
I am an RN

you should go to hospitakl it could be something to do with your blood...it affects the heart...brain...and urine/bladder
