Registered nurses, career help?!

Question: i need to know step by step how did u recieve or go about getting your degree. I am already in college- my freshman year, and i was just wondering my next steps, if i should go to a community college and get ADN . instead of staying in my four year college and get a BDN, is that how it works?? i dont actually know what type of degree i will recieve when i graduate.. like if i will have just my Bachelors degree and have to go back to school to become a nurse. And if i go to community college and get an Associates degree after 2 years and then go back to school to become a nurse. PLEASE HELP IM SO CONFUSED. I DONT KNOW WHAT TO DO...

You have many options. I am a diploma nurse who went to a 2 1/2 year nursing school straight out of high school. I took the 8 required pre-req's with my first year of nursing. Diploma programs tend to give you more Clinical experience whereas the ADN & BSN programs focus more on reasearch & management, so you need to talk with your advisor & see what option is best for your future goals (ie, staff nurse, manager, practitioner, etc)
