the cold will sooth it. thats fine.
when your ready put some aloe on it.

Stick it in butter!

You shouldn't put a burn in ice, or anything cold. Put a topical cream on it, like Polysporin. If you don't have that, put toothpaste on it until you get some.

If you think it is really serious, try getting to a doctor in the morning. If you think it is a relatively minor burn make sure to put antibiotics on it to avoid an infection. Keep if cover as well for the same reason.

how can you type?

umm just keep it cool, not cold and make sure it is bandaged.

afta u have put in under water or in a bucket of ice take it out n leave it it's normal if it has gone numb

Just take it out of the ice and rub some toothpaste on it. Don't leave it in the ice for too long

Thats the best thing. If it seems to be hurting worse rather than feeling better, see a doctor.

DEFINITELY DO NOT USE BUTTER. OIL WILL HOLD THE HEAT IN....THATS AN OUT OF DATE TREATMENT.

Do NOT put it in butter.

Place it in COOL water until it starts to feel better and then pt a clean dressing on it to keep junk out of it.

If it's bad, go to the doctor.

you can keep it on ice for as long as you can the longer the better but also if you have lavender oil you can put that on too hope the toffee is good and you r finger get s better :)

that is fine. keep it in the cold water for a little while. do not apply ice directly but the ice water should be ok. does not have to be really really cold to work. do not apply andy greasy salves or ointments. let it get plenty of air over the next few days.

tooth paste is the best remedy

You should immediately hold it under cold running water for a minimum of five minutes. If it's gone 'sorta' numb, I would 'kinda' remove it.

I'd advise not to have ice water, however, because you can also damage the burned area and surrounding skin because of the extreme cold. It should not feel numb. Change over to cold water. You need to leave it in cold water around 20 minutes immediately after a burn. The reason is because the "meat" will continue to "cook" from the burn and by leaving it in cold water it stops the "cooking" action.

For a first or second degree burn you can put on aloe vera cream or an antibiotic ointment and to protect the area, put on a dry gauze bandage over the burn.

You probably have a second degree burn (with a blister) but if it is a third degree you will need to go to the ER right away to be treated.

Skin that has third degree burns looks white or charred and may cause little or no pain because the nerves in the skin are damaged.

Ok when ever i burn my finger i put it under cold water or ice to help to from hurting and to get the burn out:0 just blow on it hold it under cold watter and be gentle
