Feeling dizzy many hours after donating blood?!
Question: I gave blood like 1:15 pm today and it is 6:28 pm, about 5 hours later and Im still feeling sort of light headed
is this normal?

.....it is not unusal to have symptoms like this after donating blood. You might be feeling dizzy because of loss of blood...i.e brain not getting enough circulation and oxygen. my advice would be to take rest and drink lots of fuilds and avoid exertional activities...

Eat a good snack and then lay down and relax and that should help..
It does happen sometimes. One time I was bad off for about 24 hours.
Drink some OJ, eat some red meat, and put your feet up. You'll feel better tomorrow.
Next time you may want to either eat more beforehand or eat a littler earlier than you did. That often helps.
Yes it is normal. Eat a banana(sugar and potassium),drink some fruit juice(sugar jolt to the blood stream), and eat some red meat(to start building up your blood).
If you don't feel like eating now just put a cold cloth to the base of the front of your neck and go to sleep.
you may be anemic
this happened to me every time I gave blood and I asked the dr about it which lead to tests
I have a B12 deficiency which causes anemia
