TYPICALLY, appendicitis can present as pain/discomfort around your belly button, then moving over to the right lower quadrant of your abdomen. It's often associated with fever, nausea, vomiting, and occasionally diahrrea. Usually, pain occurs before vomiting. Also, the pain USUALLY is constant, and does not come and go.

If you have pain in the upper right quadrant (under the ribs), you might have another condition...the most common of which is gallbladder inflammation.

If your have pain more around the right side to flank, that comes and goes, you may have a kidney stone. It is often associated with nausea and vomiting as well.

You really should goto the nearest emergency room and be evaluated by a doctor!!

Go to the ER. It is better to be wrong than wait at home and be right...
The main symptom of appendicitis is increasingly severe pain in the abdomen. Many different conditions can cause abdominal pain, so an accurate diagnosis of appendicitis can be difficult. A PROMPT diagnosis is important, however. A delay can result in perforation (rupture) of the appendix. When this happens, the infected contents of the appendix spill into the abdomen. A serious infection known as peritonitis may result.

Other conditions produce symptoms similar to those of appendicitis, especially among women. An example is endometriosis -an infection of the lining of the uterus, or pelvic inflammatory disease, an infection of the pelvis. Some forms of stomach upset and bowel inflammation may also imitate appendicitis.

Appendicitis is often a steady dull pain in the area right above your hip bone on the right side.
If you want to do a self test, press slowly into the sore area and then release the pressure quickly. If the pressure release is MUCH more painful than no pressure at all, then go to the clinic (or emergency room if the clinic is closed).

If your appendix ruptures, you will get a fever almost immediately and the SHARP pain of it bursting is enough to make you fall down.

sounds to me like you might very well have an ovarian cyst, if it is your appendix, usually the pain is radiating and is most often felt in the abdomen. Severe pain that does not come and go,,,,,,,,,,it is continuous and continues to worsen, if it is a cyst it will come and go, and can be as painful but 9 times out of 10 when you have your menstrual cycle it bursts and is absorbed in your system and no worries!!!!
If you develop a fever, it is something Serious!!!! go to the ER!! if no fever, and you know you are nearing time for your period just wait it out and see if it doesn't go away.
Good luck

Yes, definitely get to the Doctor if you think you're having appendicitis. I was about 12 years old when I had to have mine removed.
I had been playing racketball all morning and felt fine. When I got home, I had severe cramps and thought I had to go to the bathroom. The pain was in my stomach and at my right side and it was constant.
I started getting dizzy from the pain and my folks took me to the ER. By that point in time I was in and out of consciousness because the pain was so severe. But the doctors were making me wait and thankfully the guy ahead of me told my parents to go before him.
I was told they caught it "just in time".

The surgery was no biggie and recovery was a breeze.
If that's what you have, don't be scared, just get moving. The longer you wait the harder it will be.

(((((hugs))))) I hope it's nothing.
