HELP!! I am so SORE!!?!


Question: Well i started this basketball PE class two days ago and i havent played any sports since i graduated which was like two years ago!! and today i woke up so sore!!! especially my legs!! and i have to attend the class today.. what should i do so i wont hurt so much.. or what kind of exercises should i do??...should i apply ICEY HOT??

Sounds like you have excess lactic acid buildup in your muscles and have overused them after not exercising for so long. take hot baths in the evenings (with some epsom salts too) also increase your calcium intake to flush out the inflammation. some athletes get relief from lactic acid buildup by taking baking soda and water (1/4 to 1/2) tsp before heavy workout, you can also start taking fish oil supplements and always always cool down with gentle stretching after a workout. its even more important than warming up!

Do the Icey Hot for immediate relief, but don't put TOO much on and don't put heavy tight clothes on afterwards. It can be dangerous. How about a nice hot bath or shower? Some easy stretching to loosen the muscles up. Pop 2 or 3 motrin (Ibprofen) with some food to also help relax the muscles. Hope this helps.
