Question: You don't say where she is, in the hospital, or at home. After most surgery's they give you medicine in the hospital, along with a prescription for pain medication like Vicodin. Those medicines will make you sleep. She should be alright after she gets of the medicine. Good luck.

You are on the computer yet your sister is in recovery? You are asking the wrong people. I'm sure she will be ok but you should get off Yahoo and be with her.
Sometime they keep them asleep a little longer or give them a stronger dose...All depends on the surgery...Just be close to her side and i will say a prayer for her and your family too..
Most importantly....pray for her.
Many believe that despite the fact the patient isn't conscious there remains a strong possibily your voice can be heard. Speak to her...let her know you're there...let her know you're waiting for her.
Be patient...the human body is a remarkable thing...and just about anything is possible.
