I once strained back muscles due to playing tennis (I had to in school as a required class and I never played it before this) and then they told me to get 3 days straight bed rest. It improved as the muscles had to mend. Now they say to get some movement to help this heal and strengthen faster. SO I am not sure , as I found 3 days of bed rest really helped me.

I didn 't care for laying in bed the entire time but it did work.
I also didn't do anything that would add more stress to this.
It is going to take time for the muscles to mend. I would say to take it easy as much as you are able to, if this worsens or prevents you from sleeping though you will need to call a dr.

first u have to figure where/what pain...muscle or bone? see a DR ,,, look up some back exercises.take some anti inflammatorys....

See a chiropractor....he can adjust you without surgery or medicine. Yes, you're still seeing a doctor but a wholistic one AND you may need a doctor.

After making sure there is not a serious problem ie hernated disc or bulging disc, find a massage therapist that has experience working on clients with back pain. Massage therapy can do wonders for many issues high blood pressure, fatigue, stress and general muscle pain.
