My daughter was kicking a football a week ago and accidently kicked the floor. H!

Question: The underside of her foot has been hurting since and the pain has got worse rather than better. I know she is not having me on because she is limping slightly and saying ouch.

The doctors surgery is now closed for the weekend. Could she have broken a bone and still be able to walk?

Serious answers from people with experience please and no telling me to take her to the doctor, I am aware of that already! I just wanted some ideas...

Thank you.

It could be a break or it could be a serious sprain or could have jammed the metatarsals in her foot. Only an x-ray can tell for sure. The bone could be broken and yes, she could still walk, with the problems you mentioned. Put ice on it and get the x-rays done asap

yeah depends though

take he to the emergency room and ya she did break it i had the same prob

I broke my wrist and still used my hand for a week before the pain got so bad I had to see a doctor. If you think that your daughter might have broken something though you don't want to see the doctor anyway, most doctors don't have x-ray equiptment on site, head to the emergency room, patients first or wal-marts new version of patient first. Don't like that Idea, I'd say ice it til you hear back from the doc and take some tylenol. Good luck!

ok what i would recomend is that first of all dont let her walk on her foot. i know someone who was still running when her ,foot hurt and then realized it was broken the next day! so no, to answer your question in some odd cases you can walk even if the foot is broken. Something else you should do is feel her foot and see when it hurts and what shes doing to make her hurt so you can keep it in a comfortable position. i would put heat on it so incase its just a tight mucsle it will loosen it to make the pain subside. when you have the time i know your going to do this but take her to the docter and also maybe you could try calling a foot specialists office so even if the doctors not there you could maybe talk to a nurse who will tell you what to do. since someones usually always working the desk at a doctors office or hospital. i really hope i have helped and remember dont let her stress the foot anymore by putting wieght on the bad foot for it can make it worse. good luck!

make her take a hot bath with a cup of epsom salt, a cup of baking soda, and make her stay in it for an hour. Play some music and tell her that she should try "imagining" that her foot is healing. This usually helps, it is called naturopathic medicine, and can be considered the placebo effect without an ingredient.

Make her drink a lot of whole milk. 5 glasses a day. The milk that hasn't been leeched of important fatty acids increases bile production, and thus helps calcium become assimilated.

ya it could b broken, coz i no sme1 wen she waz younger she waz playin basketball nd summit happened her ankle nd she didnt realli tink neting of it,she waz in alot of pain...she waz walkin on it for 2 weeks wen she found out it waz broken....!!

how can you say shes broke it if you havent even seen it. move the ankles and toes in all directions and if its painful on all its highly possible. if only a couple directions hurt it could be ligament. it could just be bruised if shes not in too much pain
she could walk depending on the type of fracture
