Answers: l take Panadol. What do you think is best?

G'day fellow Aussie!

Herron Blue with ibuprofen I have found works the best out of all of them.
It contains an anti-inflammatory as well.

Panadol Rapid is supoosed to be good and my son takes it.

Advil, although it contains 200mg ibuphrofen, the same as Herron Blue, tends not to work very well.

I always get the Herron Blue. It costs a little extra but works really well.

generic aspirin works best for me

try panadol rapid it is really effective

For a headache I definitely think that Aspro Clears are much more effective, they just dissolve in water and don't taste that bad either. Quicker results also.

Excedrin works the best for me.

Advil

Motrin IB is by far the best. it doesnt matter how many mg's are in each pill. motrin has 200mg's as opposed to extra strength tylenol which is 500mg's. i have a bad toothaches from time to time because i still need to get my wisdom teeth pulled, motrin is the only over the counter drug that gets the pain away and lets me sleep through the night. and on a side note i wouldnt ever use oragel for tooth aches, motrin works better.

it is the active ingredients that matter, not what brand it is.
paracetamol 1gram 4x times in 24 hours (ie every six hrs) will do the trick.
(cheapest paracetamol is 75 aussie cents to a pack of 24).
you could also take panadeine, which is codeine and paracetamol. this comes in different strengths codeine per tablet, ask for the highest dose of codeine per tablet.
it WILL cause constipation if used often so keep up your fluid intake.
if it is a migrane like headache with associated sickness, you can take paracetamol and metocloperamide tablets, also an 'over the counter' drug in your country.
make sure you are not allergic to anything before you take it i would say.
good luck.

Panadol is the miracle drug of the 20th century. And very safe. If it does the job, stick with it. Panadol Rapid is even better. It just works faster.

Panadol is a brand name. The drug is paracetomol. In Australia some other brand names include Herron, and in the supermarket the no-brand paracetomol is half the price, it is still the same drug.

Ibuprofen (or Nurofen) is good if inflammation is involved - for example a sprained ankle. But can cause stomach upsets.

Finally, never ever exceed the dose. As safe as it is, when overused it can cause permanent liver damage.

If you need it for more than 3 days, you need to see a doctor.

ADVIL or ALEVE
