I am having severe knee pain!?!
Question: I am having severe knee pain. it hurts to walk, it feels warm, i can't bend it. i hurt it playing basket ball. i twisted it, but now the pain is worse and it hurts if i do anything with it. If someone could please help me know what to do and what it could be please answer!!

It sounds like a sprain. Keep ice on it as much as you can and take Motrin or a stronger pain reliever if you can get it. Also keep it elevated, and when you do have to walk, wrap a brace around your knee and keep it on. Sprains take several weeks to heal with good treatment and will not heal at all if you are careless. Once the pain diminishes, consult a physical therapist for exercises you can do to strengthen the joint.

Use a wheelchair.
The more you walk on it, the more it's going to hurt.
You probably have pinched the ligament in your knee, this happened to me during volleyball season and I had the same symptoms as you have had. You will have to walk on crutches and refrain from any physical action at all.

You should go see your doctor and tell him what happened. If it is not a sprain , then you could have torn your mcl or acl. When i twisted my knee during a hockey game, i tore my mcl and was in pain ever since.
Your doctor will help you out, and tell you what is wrong/
