Jerry...

yes

you need to wait until it is COMPLETELY HEALED

otherwise you could hurt it more while playing because it is weak

r u serious?? Read your question. No it is not good to play on something not fully healed. If you need valadation call your doctor.

yes bad idea, get it checked out...if you havent already, i would rest it, ice it maybe...

Play what? Golf? I play basketball with sprained ankles. Recently I tore my ACl and continued playing basketball. I recommend you let it heal before you F up other parts of your body.

no, i hear jumping out of tall buildings and LANDING ON THAT ANKLE helps alot.

uh duh
but id do it anyways
sports are so demanding
just have to work through the pain

It's a bad idea. But if you're the competitive type and your team needs you, go for it. I've played bball on sprained ankles. Like I said, it wasn't a good idea, but the moment called for me. Anyways, good luck bud.

yes because a sprained ankle is mune to being broken and if you put to much pressure on it thats exactly what will happen

OMG YES! It may hurt a bit, and you'll say oh it's ok, I can just play throught the pain, but what you don't realize is that you have like an 80% chance of reinjuring it when you play, and if you do you will most likely reinjure it for good, and never be able to play again. Wait until it is completley healed, don't risk injuring yourself for life.

Any doctor would tell you no, and I get the idea that you're trying to get some reassurance that it's ok even in spite of that.

If it still hurts, then obviously it's not fully healed and you run the risk of making it worse. In the long run, it'll probably be fine and you'll just prolong the discomfort. If it's really worth fighting for, and you think it's worth the risk of messing up your ankle, then that's your choice, but if you're truly invested in the well being of your body, then it might be better to take it easy, or at least request a bit less playing time.

I've never sprained an ankel or any bone in my body, but I do know you're not suppossed to put pressure on the sprain, because the bone needs to heal completely or it may never heal properly. If a sprain doesnt heal correctly it could effect future recreation that you'd like to take part in.

Yes, it's a bad idea.

I had a sprained ankle a few years ago. A sprain is a tear in the ligaments. If you don't allow yourself to heal completely before using it, you can damage the healing ligaments and cause another sprain to occur. Healing would also take longer, and it would be quite painful afterward.

Let it heal completely first. After it heals, do some exercising to help strengthen your weak muscles.

Be patient and let the injury run its course. Soon, it'll be like you never sprained it.

Yes, it is a very bad idea, because you might be young and strong right now. If you don't let it heal and hurt it again and again, when you grow older and weaker, your muscles around the damage tissues give out. You will be in a lot of pain. Take care of it and exercise your upper body for now and let you foot heal in due time.

yeah its bad
but i do it
i sprained mine like a month ago with a small fracture and its still like the size of a softball,
i still skated on it from day one
it just takes longer for it to heal

im not advising you to play on it
dont be like me
but you should be fine
