What's this pain in my hip?!

Question: If I rotate my right leg outward far enough, it starts to hurt my hip. The pain is felt at the trochanter I think and it feels like the bone isn't in the right place. Also, when I stand up straight, my right hip bone pops out more than my left does. I don't know if that has anything to do with the pain though.

Also, I do Taekwondo and I stretch a lot as we kick a lot in there. During the butterfly stretch, I feel the same kind of pain in my right hip, but a little bit more intense. I also feel the same pain when going down in the side/straddle/Chinese splits.

Please help!

The diagnosis of hip pathology can be quite taxing making it nearly impossible to diagnose with the amount of information you can feasibly give online.

The best thing is to see a joint specialist; I recommend your local chiropractor. He or she will be able to answer the following five basic questions regarding the status of your hip: what is wrong, can it be fixed, how long before you get better, how much better, and how much will it cost.
