I had mine removed a couple weeks ago. I would go to the doctirs even if you dont have most of the sympotoms.I didnt have a fever and I still had one.Im 14 and i was scared but if you have one its not that bad. Mine was just the start of it getting infected but all in all its not bad,but if you ignore it than it could get worse. So go to the doctors or the ER if it gets worse

I know this sounds crazy but you might just have trapped gas. If you had appendicitis you would have gotten a fever in the first few hours. It would be one very sharp pain too. If you feel real hard and just feel bubbles, it may be gas. I hope this helped and I hope you feel better!

I have a doctor friend who once told me that if the thought of food makes you want to vomit, then it could very well be appendicitis.

Pain should be right below the ribs, and shape. Soon ? Any doubts, go NOW ! You won't feel the surgery as the will put you out. And it's just a tiny cut.

i've had 2 friends go under the knife for appendicitis and they're still alive. i don't see how surgury hurts if you're out cold the whole time. you won't even know if it takes long or not because you'll be asleep, and then when you wake up you'll be on pain killers. removing someones appendix is a routine surgury and surgens do it all the time, so they wont mess up. it will all go good i'm sure.

You might also have a viral infection of the GI, but appendicitis is possible especially if your pain is localized to the right side.

As for the appendectomy, if you have appendicitis - the surgery is under general anesthesia, so it's painless. And it's about three weeks for full recovery.

i had a sharp stabbing pain every so often right where my appendix was - i ended up having an appendicitis after years of having that pain, now i dont have the pain anymore- i think my appendix was festering for years.... but you will get very sick - vomiting and the worst stomache pain of your life...way worse than any flu also..the surgery only takes about 45 minutes total and mine took longer cause i was 7 months pregnant at the time it usually is a laproscopy where they go in through your bellybutton and you will have a small incision right above your hip line , i was in the hospital for 4 days but i dont think it usually is that long, it all healed up really well too

dont worry about it being appendicitis, it doesnt sound like it and anxiety will make it worse. it could be wind or constipation. if u had appendicitis, u would have a temperate and be vomiting. the pain starts round the belly button and moves gradually to the right. yr mum is right to get it checked at docs tho but try not to worry. hope u will be ok.

if you don't have any of the other symptoms i doubt you have appendicitis. my friend got appendicitis in fourth grade and he was doubled over and the pain was so bad that he could barely walk. however, it is probably a good idea to go to the doctors just in case because appendicitis is very dangerous.
and if you do end up having appendicitis, the surgery won't hurt at all because you will be asleep the whole time. and look on the bright side, you'll miss school for a week or two!
good luck!
