Shattered my heel into 7 pieces, surgery next week. How long before I can play go!

Question: Ouch! That is quite a serious injury. I'm assuming you will be getting a plate put in? A friend of mine fell off a ladder & broke both heels. He was in a wheelchair for 3-4 months. So in your case, probably 3 months non weight bearing, and on crutches. (Depending on the amount of damage)
You'll have to go for physiotherapy to get the movement in your foot back. That can take months.
I'm thinking 6 months recovery if everything goes well.
Good luck

well golf isnt too strainous, but i would say stay off of it for about 2 weeks and you should be able to stand comfortably on it.

You should post the x-rays so we can give you our collective learned medical opinion.

who says you can't play golf on crutches... just as long as you use the cart more than your legs... jk. I don't think it'll take to long to get going for golf again.
