Just like it may not be your fault if you have a car accident, you will have to watch out for others bumping you, knocking you down, etc. Its not a great anology, but your back recovering from fusion is sort of like tacky glue that hasn't completely dried. Just as the glue takes time to fully set, your back needs time to fully fuse. You must be very careful to not break your fusion.

If it were me, I wouldn't go partying until your six month milestone. If you go to really crowded places, you should consider waiting even longer.

So, you will have several milestones during your recovery. Your first milestone will be at two-to-three months when you can go back to work or school. (This depends, of course, on how fast you heal.) The second milestone might be at six months when you'll be able to do many of the things you did before your surgery. At One year, your spine is mostly fused and you'll be able to have pretty much a normal life. Two years is your next milestone and your spine is just about completely fused.

give it time. I'm no expert but I understand that it can take a good six months before you're able to have a normal life. this was very major surgery, and your body needs time to heal.

i have heard arnica speeds up healing
