So I thought I was the only one who responded to anxiety like this, but apparently not.

The veins in my wrists, arms, and hands hurt tremendously when I have high anxiety/panic attacks...even though I know it's psychosomatic.

Something that seems to help is if I soak my wrists/hands in water if they start to hurt. I know it doesn't actually resolve anything...obviously it's all in my mind, but it helps me, which is the point.

is it when you are having an anxiety attack with difficulty breathing that you are seeing the veins? It sounds like your anxiety is severe enough for medication. Even if you don't like the idea of going on medds, try it for awhile as you can always wean yourself off later. If your doctor is not writing prescriptions for you, it's time to find another doctor.

the panic attacks are making your mind think your veins hurt and since you think of that when you have anxiety that can make it hurt even worse! you need something calming like valerian root or calms forte which is in your health food store but make sure you ask the pharmacist if you are taking other medications from your doctor! had to say that part! hehe!
