Patients with stroke, heart attacks, those who are dying are shaved everyday without fail unless they ask not to be shaved. They will even give you a hair cut, should you be a long stay Patient. Some Patients want the partner to shave them or cut their hair, some even get massages and beauticians in. Best of Luck
In my experience, volunteer staffers, or nurse practioners (if they have time) keep comatose patients clean, shaved & comfortable.
yes we shave you. patients that are in a coma (thus needing to be put on a breathing machine and admitted into ICU) are given a bath every 24 hours-it's a requirement where i work
