Therapy for a broken hand?!

Question: I broke my hand in three places, my thumb, index finder and a bone near my wrist. I had to get a screw in my thumb and im getting my cast off in a couple of days. About 2 weeks ago the doctors removed the old cast and the stiches from my surgery. I tryed moving my fingers and my wrist but i found it hard because of the injuries. Im about to remove my new cast like i said before. My question is whats the best steps to take in order to get the full rotion and motion back in my wrist and fingers? Also how do i get rid of the pain, without medication? Any good remedies? Any advice?

Just start by moving it gently in all directions, don't attempt to put any weight on it for a while. You could apply either heat pads or ice pads for the pain, try both and decide which works best for you. The mobility will return in it's own good time, don't rudh it.

open and close your hand constantly. Use a 1lb weight and twist your wrist
