Is it pink eye? Should I go to work?!

Question: I woke up 2 days ago with a very red and painful right eye. It hurt to be in any kind of light and felt like there was something in it. It was watering a lot, but it wasn't crusty. I got some over the counter pink-eye drops just in case, which has helped but it's still a little red and still has that irritated feeling.

Has anyone ever had this? Is it actually pink eye? I work in a hospital, so I'm thinking it'd be best to just play it safe and stay home another day and go to the eye doctor.

So many things cause the same symptoms with eyes. You should go to a doctor to be safe.

yeah go to the doctor

NO. Go to the Doctor! Pink eye is HIGHLY CONTAGIOUS!

I work at a hospital and because pink eye is so easily contagious you must stay home, call your Dr. and he will prescribe you some anti-biotic eye drops.

there is really nothing you can do about pink eye pink eye is very contagious so it is best that you stay home try putting a warm wash cloth over you eye and what ever you do do not rub your eye it will only get worse
