Why does my head hurt when I move my left eye?!

Question: Every time I move my left eye the area above it in my head hurts. It especially hurts when I move it to the top left. (My left). My right is perfectly normal. I tried Tylenol but it didn't work..sleeping didn't help either because it's been over 24 hours. Any advice on what to do and what it is would be great. Thanks

sounds like the superior oblique muscle is fatigued. what you should do is try to rest (i know you said that you've done that - but give it a bit more time). if it gets severe - see your medical doctor when you can.

Also, try a gel ice pack over your eye - but make sure to put a moiste wash cloth over it. Lie flat on your back with that there for 20 minutes every 2 hours. That should rapidly help the problem.

The headache you're describing is called "retrobulbar" headache (aka "retroocular")
