Aspirin makes me throw up!?!


Question: Whenever I take aspirin or tylenol for my headaches or cramps. I usually end up throwing up. =( Any idea why this happens? Can you suggest a medicine that wont upset my stomach?

I find that most medicines make me sick to my stomach, nauseous, or throw up as well. Aspirin, ibuprofen, advil...they all do it. I tend to take Tylenol, and I don't have a problem with it. If you take something like aspirin, make sure it is coated and make sure you take it with food. That will lessen the likelihood of it causing adverse effects.

Enteric aspirin has a coating on it that protects your stomach. Try that. You will find it with the other aspirin.

Try using medicines for your headaches like IBPROFIN that's normally what I take.

I am allergic to tylenol and have the same thing. The only medicine I can take is advil. Try other things until you get a good result. Also it could be that you have migraines which can sometimes make you sick to your stomache.
