My ear is killing me... congested? help?!

Question: I have bad seasonal allergies which usually lead to a sinus infection at least once every spring. (I've sort of just learned to live with it)

This problem is starting again this year and I've been taking my allergy meds, only this year it's not just my nose that is congested.

my right ear feels extremely congested (almost like when you're on a plane and it's about to pop), and it HURTS something awful.

I don't have a fever, but could it still be an ear infection? I took some sudafed to help with the congestion, but it hasn't helped at all. I am going nuts here, any advice before I have to schedule an app. with the doc?

Stick with a doctor, he will might give you an antibiotic.

Try a ear wax removal kit. You can get one for about $4 at any wal-mart or drug store. Here is a link that will give you a lot of good info on ear problems. Good luck

Weight loss can be intentional, such as with dieting and exercise, or unintentional and be a manifestation of illness. Weight loss can result from a decrease in body fluid, muscle mass, or fat. An decrease in body fluid can come from medications, fluid loss, lack of fluid intake, or illnesses such as diabetes. A decrease in body fat can be intentially caused by exercise and dieting, such as for obesity. Weight loss is normal after pregnancy. The loss of weight and lack of nutrition associated with a chronic illness is referred to as cachexia. Unexplained, unintentional weight loss is often a result of illness and should be evaluated by a healthcare professional.

i have had these problems for ages and was hospitalised for them so i can tell you what helps me..........for the sinus....steam steam and more steam .........put boiling water in a pot or bowl drape a towel over your head and the bowl and breath in the steam. it works wonders. for your ear........put a few drops of light oil such as olive oil (comes in bottles like castor oil) in your ear put in a piece of cotton and leave overnight flush your ear the next day and there should be no more pain. .........simple and inexpensive and no meds........i hate to be medicated....try those and feel better
