I can truly associate with you. I am 62 years old, and always had trouble sleeping! I don't work now, but when I did, I remember going to bed, watching the clock tick away and then finally doze off around 3 to 4am. Well, I finally have gone to a doctor about it. I am on several meds, but you may be able to sleep with just one drug. My 84 year old mother has always had the same problem and used to try Tylenol PM for a while. She finally went to her physician who put her on Transene! She feels so much better getting a full nights sleep. You might even have a sleep study done. My study showed that my legs move constantly while sleeping, which does not allow you to get into REM sleep.

you can try these home-remedies and see if they work for you.

omg this happens to me to . my advice wat i recon is reading a book in bed with a lamp on no big light just small 1 or listen to slow beated songs on ur mp3 not to loud though . and slowly ull doze off

Meds don't work in the long term. In psych class they teach you that they put you to sleep but you do not dream. So once you quit taking them your dreams come back, and you will dream every night until you catch back up on your dreams.
Personaly, I would try to relax, when I get all messed up a massage helps alot, but it has to be a long quiet one at the salon.

room temperature of close on 21c --- a comfortable set of pillows --- glass of milk and some small cookies --- and you are on your way to a full 8 hour sleep ( or very close ) .
good luck .

If this 5 or 6 hours give you enough rest then my advice is not to take medicine or you gonna get used to it.
the main purpose of sleep is to rest your body and mind and it differs from one person to the other. I think 5 to 6 hours is enough for many people.
If your problem is that you wake up at night finding nothing to do then try sleeping more late or try to find any thing that can make this time pass without boredom.

for me if i sleep at 11pm and wake up at 5am i start my day very happy and active.

wish you happy and restful good nights

I would recommend milk. I know this is not what you want to hear but trust me it works.

take1/2 tablet of tylenol pm 1 hr before bed, no more, they are strong but take awhile to work .sweet dreams
