Did I pass out or no?!

Question: I had a dizzy spell at school today. It looked like I was staring into an upside down tunnel and as a result I fund myself laying on the ground. I was standing up by the way when this happened. I already went to the doctor and he did not know an exact cause for this.

It certainly does sound like this was a SYNCOPE episode. Sometimes people describe it looking like the walls have caved in and everything is getting darker. Similiar to the upside-down tunnel.

If this was a 1 time episode and you never experience it again then it could be caused by tons of things---low blood sugar, low blood pressure or some other reasons why you were not getting sufficient blood-flow to your brain.

Good to hear you got checked by a doctor. Fainting is scary and embarrasing.

If this happens to you again---go back to the doctor and have a full work-up.

It sounds as if you did. Did your doctor perform any tests ? You should have had blood work and a cardiac work up. If not please discuss this with your parents.

Yes - it SOUNDS like you passed out....you could have just over done something..........or are you possible pregnant? Only asking because it's the only time it happened to me..........BUT DON'T FREAK or anything because there could be a LOT of reasons for it and you aren't saying ....... are you eating well? That could do it too.

You fainted. Think of it as the body having to restart - like a computer when too much goes on and it crashes. So too your body shuts down - many many things trigger it - mostly minor. Most damage is often from the fall itself. Still, blood pressure etc. can be a factor. If your doctor checked you out and he's OK - then let it be.
