No reason to go to the E.R. you'll only infect other people there who're already sick with something else...Trust your body. If you can eat...eat to keep up your energy....If eating makes you ill, then fast until you feel better...Your body will tell you. When you get hot and then cold, your body's trying to kill a virus or bug of some kind by shocking it....Most viruses can only live in a certain temperature so your body tries to kill it off by changing temperatures rapidly...when you feel cold, take off your blanket and let yourself get colder and when you start to sweat, cover up and get hotter....just make sure your temperature doesn't go over 103....if you hit 104 get into a cold shower or even pack yourself in ice....brain damage can start to set in at 104 if you stay there for long. If your temp stays over 103 for more than 15 minutes at a time call 9 1 1 ...as for the headache....there're many causes of headaches. Migraines are usually caused by stress but have many other causes. If I had to guess, I'd say you're stressing a little too much about being ill.

It sounds like you're coming down with the flu.
Try taking a warm bath, drink some juice, and get in bed.

Don't be afraid.
This year's flu is pretty bad (and starts this way) but you'll be fine.

GET TO THE ER FAST

No, but I think you need to go to the ER.

Welcome to the 2008 strain of the flu bug!

Call a medical professional or a hospital immediately and ask what you should do. It is far better to hear how you should treat yourself (or if someone else should treat you) than to take medicinal advice from someone off the internet. I don't know how many certified med. professionals browse this website, but I would think twice before taking the first medication that someone recomends on the internet. If you can't get in touch with someone, some good, well-known health websites may have an answer to your symptoms.

It sounds like a virus but wouldn't hurt to go to the doctors and get it checked out properly. Symptoms could also be an infection somwhere in the body

time to go to the er. could be a stroke or an annerisim. so go to the hospital
