What's the best thing to do for broken bones that are throbbing?!

Question: I broke my wrist and two fingers Saturday and I'm looking for a way to ease the pain...I have pain killers but they are making me somewhat lethargic and I'm trying to work too...

Ideas or suggestions?

who the hell are you

ELEVATE!
Prop your lower arm and hand up with pillows so that your wrist & fingers are elevated above your heart . Gravity will naturally slow the blood flow and ease the throbbing.
Cut yourself some slack and stop trying to work for a few days. You need to rest.

take the bottle of Jose out from behind your files. That should work with the pain killers.

Keep your injury above your heart -- that will help a LOT with the throbbing.

If you can't take the pain meds at work (I can't, either -- codeine and other narcotics are not allowed where I work, as it would be too dangerous), I suggest alternating between ibuprofen and acetominophen.

Other than that, I'm sorry to say that only time will make it better. I'm so sorry and I hope you heal quickly. I broke my wrist 10 years ago and still remember how painful that was!

Rest and elevate the affected side, perhaps some ice, and ibuprofen.

Use the good hand to masturbate yourself into orgasm and let the endorphins that are released work with the pain killers.

What a coincidence! Just yesterday my friend Lou and I were at our favorite adult store, Randy's' Handful of Love and Video Palace, and saw something that may assist you in the future. He has a wonderful contraption, powered by 3 D batteries, that is not only ergonomically designed to avoid just the type of injury you sustained, but is guaranteed to avoid any chance of carpel tunnel injuries as well!

All for only $12.99 (plus tax).

Put ice on it. Keep elevated, and dont over do it... if it hurts dont do it.

Take it easy, relax, ice, and cuddle with someone you love...

Good luck.

sorry babe, that sucks! but aside from taking painkillers, there's really not much you can do until the bones heal. but alas, i am a dumbass, so the possibility that i am full of crap is quite high.

i hope you feel better, sweetie!
