Hi
You certainly wouldn't be on here if you had a migraine, you'd be laid down in a dark room with an ice pack on your forehead.

P.S Any chance of best answer ha ha X
I think snizz and I have kissed and made up via e-mails, my heart goes out to anyone in constant pain, I fractured two vertebrae in my neck a few years ago and it still hurts today.
Perhaps I was a bit unfair to snizz so I've (I have)deleted some of my reply.

try relaxing a bit and don't think about any worrying thoughts

ice-pack!!

turn out all the lights, lay down and constantly massage your head, or get someone else to.

well all i do is lie down with the tv on and the light off and go under the covers i might take 2 paracetamol and thats it.

I never get headaches or migranes well I do but its very rare and I try not to take tablets people that take tabs all the time seem to have them all the time

Sometimes something like tylenol pm or another med that will help you fall asleep helps. Otherwise, just try to lie down and fall asleep if you can.

I let my chiropractor fix my jaws. That is why I get headaches. Get a cold pack and put it on your head. Close your eyes and go to sleep until you can get to a doc or get more meds. Ask someone to rub your feet and hands, gently. Cold pack will do you good though. Sorry.

I like to receive good oral, that always makes me forget about anything the previously bothered me.

arfurchance, you're a lowlife, non caring loser who doesn't know crap. Get lost!!

Thank you Kev!! It's too easy being a guy!!

sitting in front of your computer certainly won't help

3 ibruprofen (Advil or Motrin) and 2 Excedrin. It works about 90% of the time for me.

relax as much as you can. don't watch TV, or read, or go on the computer as it can cause you to get very pained. drink some tea. i had a migraine when i was visiting my grandparents and my grandpa gave me some yogurt(mountain high!!) and it made me feel better.

cool

i usually sing....want me to sing for ya...la la la la la lalalalaaaaa, did it go away or did it get bigger?

take two and email me in the morning ...

i guess your still Alive...

I have to agree with I R Thmart, good oral always helps.....

Morning from UK Snizz

Sorry you're not well. Never suffered migraine so I can't pretend to know how much you are suffering.

Seems the advice is to close your eyes and clear your mind as much as possible. But if you did that, you wouldn't get the advice - bummer

Hope you feel better soon

Good morning hun.You need to get your head lower than your heart to get the blood back to your head.I sit with my head slightly below my knees.Doesn't cure but helps with the pain xx

Morning Snizz-it's 7.20 am here in Norfolk- a bit windy
Nice to see you again and hope your migraine's gone-you would have got one on here last night as there were some funny moments lol
You just have to rest till the migraine has gone-depends on how severe it is

Hope you feel better this morning.

Very easy Snizz, but pl see what suits you.
If you are in cold country use all warm things.

If you have cough/cold body hot water bath will help.
Massage and exercise in front of morning sun is good thing, pl try.
Pl try simple acupressure given below for immediate relief.
If it fails you will have to go for Acupuncture.

There is hardly any medicine for H/A OR MIGRAINE. Not only these but for RA, OA, Back ache, Ear ache/ringing, Stomach ache and almost all painful diseases. Hence they become chronic.

Acidity, WORRY, sadness, excessive wind, cold , heat, sour food and sinusitis, constipation, intestinal inflammation; drug side effects, stress, bad smell, TV & COMPUTER SOMETIMES, Blockage in the flow of Vital Energy, BODY CONSTITUTION etc are their causes.
None of them can be treated with medicine.
Our 100% success in treating migraine &H/A confirms it.

Acupuncture is the best treatment.
I can treat it with naturopathy and YOG, but how can you manage pl see.

Pain killers don't treat the pain but we loose the sense of pain for some time; in that duration our body itself treats sometime and credit goes to meds.
The useless drugs have tremendous power of side effects like liver/kidney failures, ulcer, inflammation of intestines and lot more.

Avoid late sleeping if possible; worry, tension, spicy foods, sour fruits, stale bakery foods, SMOKING and alcohole.

Sweet foods, COCOANUT WATER,sweet fruits like dates, milk, rice, SPROUTS, SALADS and good sleep will help if cough is not there.

But you try one herbal remedy- two drops of drumstick leaves' juice in opposite nostril if one side pains and both nostrils if full H/A will give you rescue. Betel leaf helps but it is very strong.

If it is acute pl search a painful point (with round tipped pen/jimmy) 3-6 mm behind your thumb nail and press it, H/A will disappear within 30 seconds.

For forehead/eye pain the points are in front of nails on the finger tips or 3-7 mm below.

It may disappear naturally too.

Morning Snizz,

Lie down in a dark room, no noise & certainly no dairy products...

btw haven't seen you for awhile...........hope all is well..

Snizz the best way to get rid of the migraine is to slowly bang your head against a wall. Increase the frequency until the wall cracks.
Repeat three to four times or until a dark patch appears on the forehead.

snozzy have you tried drinking more water? I read a study on migraines and found out people who suffer from migraines are also dehydrated and do not realize it.

Ouch. I have migraines, and have actually been in your situation so I can relate. Don't take tylenol pm...it may make you fall asleep (and you may even feel some headache relief) short term, but long term it can actually cause another headache or migraine (these are called "rebound headaches"). Remove yourself from visual distractions like computer and TV. Lay down in a dark, cool, quiet room. An ice pack on the back of your neck and/or on top of your head where the migraine pain is located can help. If you're going to take otc (over the counter) pain relief, take advil/ibuprofen, not tylenol (can cause rebound headaches). I'm not a doctor, but I've taken as much as 800mg at one time before. If you take that much you HAVE to wait 4 hours before taking any more. Massage and accupressure on your feet and hands is a wonderful thing. Your "brain" point on your feet is at the top of the big toe, on your hand at the top of your thumb. Have you eaten lately? If not (and I know it can be hard if you're feeling sick) you need to eat! Make sure you eat both a carb and a protein. Drink plenty of water. As another answer pointed out, many migraines are actually caused by dehydration. I hope this helps! Feel better!

i can only suggest an ice pack and a darkened room Snizz
