GNC brand Glucosamine?!

Question: I bought some tablets from GNC health store in Melbourne. Glucosamine 750/ Chondroitin 600.

On the container it says :
"Dietry supplement"
"Promotoes joint flexibility"

Then in small print below it:

"This statement has not been evaluated by the Food and Drug Administation. This product is not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease."

Does this mean it has not been tested properly?

Gnc products are tested through a company called NSF for potency. This is a company that dose checks for the FDA.GNC products go through over 150 quality checks and GNC guarantees truthful labeling.Yes it is true that Glucosime chondrotin and many supplements are not proven by the FDA.However, many doctors actually prescribe this as a alternative to many pharmaceutical drugs.Pharmaceutical drugs have far more side effects.Glucosime Chondroitin is shell fish.Even if you are allergic to shell fish, chances are your side effects, if any, won't be as bad as side effects from pharmaceuticals.Ask your doctor if Glucosamine chondroitin is right for you.Contact Gnc customer service with questions 1888-462-2548
