Several ways. Discuss with the doctor and or Anestesiologist what exactly will happen.

They usually give an injection that puts you so close to sleep and then they place a mask over your nose and mouth. They ask you to count backwards...100 to 1.

Most people don't make it past 97-96 and then the next thing you know, you are asking when they are going to do it and it's done.

Also, part of our gift of life is our emotions. There are positives and negatives, like energy they flow and can be fed too.

If one is not happy and at peace, the other emotions are interfering. Either we create them or they are projected upon us...and we absorb them. This is sometimes called...(transferance?)

Embrace your fears and let them go. Me, I give them up to the universe and or God to take.

It is easy for us to do but weird and contradictory to our goal inlife...so when we think negative, stop the disorganized thought and give it up, let go of the worldly way and get Spiritual for the moment.

It is said, the profoundest waste of life is to worry for it is usually about something in the past or the future and; not the moment. One has past and the other not yet arrived or happened and unless you have a crystal ball...I know you don't ;-) then you are not enjoying the moment, which is why it is called the present.

Feed and nourish the goodness, pay it forward every now and then and it will come back to you...

Aks all the questions you need to and make sure you understand them. If not, have the doctor re-explain...That is their obligation by law and your right as a patient. You then must follow and be a good patient....

Good luck!

It's not bad at all. They hook you up to an IV, give you the drug, and have you start to count backwards from 10. It kicks in so fast that most people never make it past 9! It's just like you are sleeping at home in your bed. When you wake up, you will be groggy, but you won't remember anything about the surgery. I've been though it and that's the easy part!

I have always found that learning and knowing what will happen to you is a sure-fire way of ridding the jitters from you. Study up!

When I got pregnant I read, and read and read and read. I was scared to death of the whole birthing process and wanted to know what would happen to my body the whole 9 months. I learned so much my friends started calling me doctor.

Ask your doctor for reading suggestion and surf the web and do the research.

Once you understand the process it'll be much easier.

I was terrified the first time I had to be put under, but it was a shockingly non-scary thing. It just felt like I had blinked my eyes and when I opened them I was in another room. Some people do have bad reactions to the drugs that knock you out but its rare, and your doctor will know how to handle it. Listen to your fav song on your Ipod while they put you under, you will be out long before the song even ends and then it will be over.

The second u are aware of a negative thought, whether it be fear or something else, immediately be conscience of the fact that the thought is irrational. If the thought is something u have no control over, surrender the thought to the "Light" - or one might say - "Higher Power". Have absolute, unwavering faith/belief that u ARE well and healed. Notice I didn't say, "..will be..". Live in the present - 'are well and healed' - and not in the future - 'will be well and healed', for the only moment that u have control/power over is the moment u are presently in. Ur BELIEF will make it so. Why fret over a problem/situation/thought that is beyond ur control? Do not dwell on the negative, for then u give ur "power" to the dark, allowing it to manifest and consume u. (It's sort of like pouring gasoline on a fire.) Negativity BREEDS negativity!

Meditate on this. The "Light" is agape love. If u love urself unconditionally, ur spirit is a spirit of the "Light". The "Light" is WITHIN u. Do not allow the dark to extinguish the "Light" within u with irrational, fearful thoughts. U have the capability within u to do this. We all do.

Peace and tranquility are urs if u so desire. It's up to u. Peace out!
