Menstrual cramps relief?????!

Question: I have severe menstrual cramps and no medication has helped...i also have terrible headaches, nausea, and really bad mood swings (i guess from feelin so miserable). Are there any treatments for relieving all these symptoms b/c i've tried every medication you can think of and hot baths just make it worse. I've tried heatin pads but they dont work either. Is there anything else I can do to feel less miserable????

I know this sounds dumb but PMS is a real sickness for women. Try talking to your Dr. Have you tried naproxen?
Or a REAL pain reliever like Vicodin?

I *think* birth control pills can help with this. Again, ask your Dr.

I had really, really bad periods until I had children! Now I have no pain AT ALL.

****EDIT*****

I just read on another post that a girl thought she was anemic. She mentioned having terrible periods. A registered nurse replied to her answer saying that heavy periods could be a symptom of anemia!

I was borderline anemic as a teen. I never put the two together! Maybe you should be tested for anemia!
If you eat more iron it is supposed to help with anemia. Try a multivitamin [even if it is a childrens chewable] and eat greens and foods high in iron before and during your period. See if that helps!

You can try raspberry leaf tea (or "infusion", depending on where you are in the word), but it has to be made with raspberry leaves, not just raspbery flavored. Raspberries help balance your hormones and lessen PMS and other menstrual sysmtoms (esp. cramsp). So do yams, I've heard.

Also, if warm baths don't work, perhaps massaging your cramping muscles (your abdomen) with warm lavender essential oil diluted with warm water or grape seed oil.

(Hope one of those helps. That's what I use because I don't like taking medications unless I have no other choice.)
