Is it okay to go take a run with a sore throat?!

Question: I've just gotten back into my exercise routine jogging with my dogs but overnight I had a terrible sore throat. it feels a bit better this morning and I have no other signs (yet) of a developing head cold... do you think it's okay if I take my usual jog today? I probably should hold off I know, but I'm super motivated... which happens not often haha. Does anyone think it's that big of a deal even? Like will I develop the cold with or without the jog!!! :) Thanks

If you have been exposed to a virus, running (or not running) is not going to have an effect on it. Could be that you have a sinus problem whereas sore throats are somewhat common, but go away on their own. However, if you have had non-productive coughing and gagging fits, I'd suggest you discuss the matter with your vet as it would appear that you have caught whatever your dog had on another of your questions today. Go, run, have fun, but don't get caught up in sniffing, chasing cars, or growling at other dogs while doing so.

I think it would be fine but I'd suck on a throat lozenge while you jog and put a couple in your pocket too. Jogging always makes my throat dry. Make sure your drinking lots of water all day.
