IF YOUR TOES ARE PINK (NOT BLUE OR DUSKY) AND WARM WHEN YOU TOUCH THEM AND CONTINUE TO BE SO UNTIL YOUR APPOINTMENT YOU ARE PROBABLY SAFE IN WAITING. BE SURE TO KEEP YOUR FOOT ELEVATED ABOVE HEART LEVEL IN THIS EARLY STAGE. DO THINGS THAT YOU FIND RELAXING AS ANXIETY CAN INCREASE PAIN A LOT. IF THE PAIN SEEMS RELATED TO PRESSURE FROM THE CAST RATHER THAN THE FRACTURE, CALL THE DOCTOR AT ONCE. IF ELEVATING YOUR FOOT AND RELAXING DOES NOT HELP, IT NEVER HURTS TO CALL THE DOCTOR FOR HIS OPINION. MAYBE THEY WILL WANT TO SEE YOU A DAY EARLY. AN EARLY FRACTURE CAN BE VERY PAINFUL. SOME PEOPLE NEED STRONGER PAIN PILLS THAN OTHERS AND WITH THE WIDE VARIETY OF PAIN PILLS AVAILABLE, YOU SHOULD NOT HAVE TO BE IN SEVERE PAIN.

If you can put up with the pain, you can wait. If it's unbearable, call and see if they will prescribe something else.

i think you should call the Doctor immediately.

It could be that you have been prescribed a painkiller to which you have a resistance. There are a small percentage of people, for example, for whom codiene has absolutely no effect whatsoever. Contact your doctor straight away and let him know, it is what he is there for. He can probably give you an alternative and it certainly beats you having to spend a couple of sleepless nights with pain.

my experience has been.......try to handle it and I know you don't want to hear that, but.....you could get yourself labeled as a drug-seeker.....It happened to someone I know and it was awful!!! Alot of it depends on the doctor, how well you know him, how young you are (sorry, but true), and other things I'm sure. Just be careful how you approach it. TRUE STORY

Take some advil till your next appiontment and ice your foot when it starts to hurt.

call the Dr. If you have fibromyalgia or chronic pain it could take more medicine for you to get relief. I have extra problems with pain after even minor surgeries. Be honest about your pain. Two days could be a long time to suffer if there's something else you could get. Do you have a good stor y about your fall. Hope so. You should get something out of this. Take care

2 days is a long time to be in pain. Call your Dr. and he can call you in a new/stronger prescription.
