I got sharp knee pains?!

Question: I was playing basketball today. For about 2 hours.
Well when now I am having sharp pains on the back of my right knee. I guess it is called the knee pit, idk.
Any way my knee is getting stiff.

Should I ice it or heat it.

First of all ICE never heat when it`s around the knee, it may inflame it! But what it sounds like you have is a torn hamstring muscle. Apply ice to the area and use an anti-inflammatory medicine. You may also wrap your thigh with an elastic bandage. Keep the injured leg elevated. See your doctor if there's excessive swelling or pain.

The medical advice I've gotten for treating injuries that involve tissue trauma is to ice it during the first 24 hours. After that use heat.

The rationale is that when the tissues are damaged, heating it will make blood rush in more quickly and cause more damage and excruciating pain. Icing it will slow the blood.

But really, you should go to urgent care or a doctor or something.

Good luck.
