Can anyone explain what causes 'pin & needles' post pregnancy?!

Question: I had a baby 4 months ago and I have been getting 'pins & needles' in my right forearm and hand (excluding little finger) for approx the last 6 weeks. It is becoming more and more noticeable every day (not painful). It happens when nursing my baby, pushing the pram, driving, cooking, washing up, writing. I wonder if it could be carpal tunnel syndrome, though from what I have read this would occur DURING pregnancy as a result of swelling, of which I have none. Alternatively, could it be a chiro problem pinching on a nerve?? I have slightly put my back out of alignment post pregnancy and am due to see my chiro again in 3 weeks. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

I was thinking the same thing. Carrying that bundle of Joy around tends to tweak the spine and back muscles out of whack...

If you can do a full circle of easy stretching it may help ease the muscles and let them get off that nerve.

The windmills with your arms, forward and back, small to large and nice and easy like.

Grab one elbow and gently pull the other arm across your chest. Repeat with the other arm...

Hand behind the head and grab the one hand and gently pull to stretch...

A reverse stretch like a push up to arch the back backwards slowly, encourages stretching and to get the nutrient carrying blood flowing just a little farther

My CT would change with activity and elevation...numbness to severe pain where I could not hold a steering wheel...

The nursing may be causing it to continue but if I could, I would not give that up for nothing...gosh that must be so special...I envy you in a loving way...

Pick your Chiropractors ear for alternative stretches and if you must...see a doctor...

Oh PS I heard there are some terrific Acupuncturist out there now....Might but the thing! Get an elder...they are usually better with more experience!
