I got candle wax in my eye last night, is there any long term damage?!

Question: Don't ask me how, it's a short and stupid story.

It splashed, i washed with plenty of water, some dryed underneath my eyelid, and i could feel it so it took about half an hour to lift it out.
I slept well my eye's still a little red, but i still think there could be a little peice of wax in there.
Also the top of my eye lid on the out side got burn it scarred in the morning so i put acriflex on there it's a burns cream.

Will it get worse????
I can see.

Also if anything get's in your eye i heard you can put milk in there is this true?

I would not put milk in your eye. I would go to your eye doctor ASAP!! Even if you feel like you got it all out, you may not have. Something invisable to the naked eye could be scratching your lens or something. I really think you need to go see your eye doctor. It should only take him or her a minute to check it out.

You may turn into a wax work piece of art. I guess you get alot of attention but socialising becomes a difficulty.

ouch! have you seen your doctor yet i strongly advise you to go there my friend got the strong glue in her eye efore she washed it out and all seemed to be ok the next day see your g.p just to be safe

no it will be fine. the tears will flush it from time to time and it will be alright. be careful next time.

It won't get worse, you've removed the heat source. If you are really worried, see your doctor, only they can advise for certain.

No just keep on flikering, mean blinking

No , it will only get better.

I had superglue in my eye once ! ... I can still see.

Chill, eyes are quite tough. :)

It sounds like you did the right thing, but if I were you I'd still get your GP to check it out to put your mind at rest, especially if there's any blurring - you might still have some in there.

I've never heard of putting milk in, though; there are products like Optrex that are good.

It should be OK with what you done but if it doesn't seem to be getting better go see the doc.
And the milk that they say is good to put in your eye is Breast Milk...Do you know any lactating mums?

Go to your doctor!

I think you will be alright, no lingering effects, Make sure you bathe your eye well.
