My grandbaby has a ear infection what will help best no meds please only home ba!

Question: The best thing I know is Mullein-garlic ear drops from the health food store. It works fast and better than antibiotics. My baby used to get ear infections; this was what worked.
I've heard you can also use some kind of soothing oil; put a couple of drops in the ear.
I knew a little boy who had chronic ear infections and was treated successfully with diet. It was a little complicated though; he had food allergies and not all doctors know about this aspect.

Go to the drug store and get you some ear candles.

They are all natural, safe and effective. Its amazing what they draw out of the ear...

Good luck...

Babies with ear infections need to see a doctor and probably antibiotics. An ear infection left untreated can cause hearing loss, besides being painful.

If the baby has an ear infection, it should be taken to a pediatrician for evaluation and treatment--especially if fever is present. Otherwise, the child may grow up to have chronic and painful ear infections, hearing loss, or chronic tinnitus (like me--and now I'm middle aged). If you want your grandchild to suffer recurrent infections and life-long ear problems, go ahead and treat "naturally."

maybe a cotton ball w/ rubbing alcohol

Generally, as with pets (especially dogs), ear infections are caused because of diet. People who feed their pets scraps from the table usually experience ear-infections in their pets. Interestingly, tonsillitis, sinusitis and bronchitis are related in cause, prevention and cure. Allergies to cow's milk is the most frequent common denominator, so well does it mimic strep throat (including pain and fever). Treatment should include avoidance of sugar, treat fever and discomfort with demulcents and antipyretics (I.e. willow, Salix alba), hydrogen peroxide ear drops and/or mullein oil drops (Verbascum thapus). Treat as with any allergy including autoimmune urine therapy. Though true strep throat requires the use of penicillian, you should be fine. I hope this helps the little one!

don't listen to the suggestion about ear candles. an open flame near an infant is NOT safe. and these candles have been proven over and over not to be effective.

tubes in the ear sounds very scary but is often necessary in very young babies with recurring ear infections in order to prevent hearing loss. express your concerns to the baby's pediatricians- and if you still aren't comfortable please get a second opinion.

dont let this go too long though.

In very young children, ear infections are common. However, they are not to be ignored. If antibiotics are not helping, there may be reasons....you must give the child each dose on time, and as prescribed. You must give the child all the doses, use up the medicine. If they wish to put tubes in the ear drums, it is because your grandchild is suffering and in pain from fluid build up behind the inner ear. Do not waste time. Take the baby to the doctor and allow them to put the tubes in. This will drain the liquid, provide relief and the tubes will fall out or can easily be removed by your doctor when the time comes. Home remedies will not work here. Take this child to a doctor.
