Just above the belly button isn't the stomach, it's the upper abdomen. Pain there is a result of some problem in the small intestine, usually gas. (Pain in the abdomen isn't necessarily felt where the actual problem is, because there are fewer pain nerves, and certain locations handle the pain sensation for a larger area.) First I would try taking some gas pills (from the drug store) and see if this takes care of the problem.
The yogurt didn't have anything to do with the pain; it couldn't get into the small intestine that fast.
The gas problem might be caused by something you ate, or stress, or who knows what. It can be painful, but it's not dangerous.
Appendix pain is in the lower abdomen, not upper, and is pretty intense. If you're worried, though, see the doctor.
If it keeps bothering you a lot, though, see a doctor.

sounds like your appendix...you should have it checked out...i had a friend who kept having pains in her stomach above her belly button...by the time she realized it was something serious..it was her appendix it was an emergency surgery..it was the size of a large chili pepper and it was in the center of her stomach area wrapped around her intestines...so the appendix hurting pain doesnt necessarily have to be just on the right side....in that general area it could be the same thing..

Appendix, Gall Bladder, and Pancreas come to mind. Get checked out. It could also be a GI issue, but sounds like appendix.
