No, there is no extra penalty for smoking on no-smoking day. It's the same penalty as smoking on any other day: a death sentence.

i've quit now for 8 day 10 hours and 35 mins
Why not make it permanent? I did the day, 11/23/61, JFK died (no connection) and my lungs, I'm told, are as if I'd never smoked. Otherwise I'd now be crippled by emphysema or worse.

I quit 15 years ago .I used to smoke 80 a day and stopped with out the use of patches .
Im now able to smell flowers,taste and enjoy my food,am better off money wise,
I understand why people smoke and on the day I stopped my last fag was the best one I ever smoked but ive never wanted one since and can honestly say it was the best move I have ever made.
If you are thinking on stopping then I urge you to do so now .
When I see fags are now over 5 pounds a packet I dont see how people can afford to smoke .
If you smoke 20 aday that 35 pounds a week and 1820 pounds a year all going up in smoke and killing you as well.
Is it worth it?and in my case I have saved myself over 7280 pounds a year
