Knee pains/surgery/aftermath?!

Question: I've had this knee problem for about a year now. It all started during track at school. We were doing hurdles and as I went over the last hurdle I hit it with my left foot, and I landed on my right knee. When I stood up, my right knee felt like it bent backwards. I'm not sure if it actually did though. Ever since then I've not been able to run, play volleyball, or even stretch my legs out without injuring it. Though it hasn't done it in a while, my knee occasionally pops and locks in one place with very bad pain. Last time this happened was at school getting up from sitting down. As I stood up, my knee went "pop" and this horrible pain came. I could barely walk. (limped around the rest of the day until I could rest) Btw, about two months after the innicial injury I went to see a doctor and he thought it was torn knee cartilage. I did have an X-Ray. Nothing. I have yet to have an MRI. I went to see another doctor (not a specialist) and he said I most likely had a sprained...

before u decidde to do anything i would suggest that u see an orthopeadist and request that u have an MRI done... xrays wont show soft tissue injuries,

it sound to me like a meniscus tear... if that is the case then surgery may be the only option.. after u will be able to return to ur sports but it will take months of PT and recovery

best of luck
