Sure it is. Just cut a little hole in the neoprene. You might try using an elastic band around the top and bottom.

I had it on my knee from surfing when I was in high school. It took a long time, but eventually it subsided. It did stop me from playing football. Too painful. Hurts when you hit it doesn't it? They said that they could do surgery on it, but that it might grow back. We couldn't afford it at the time, so I didn't get the surgery.

Good luck.

If you have Osgood Schlatters disease the lump will be directly below your kneecap. My son had it and was told it didn't need any treatment.

i don't see why not
my sister has it and she wore one for a while
tell your physio therapist
it could be the size of the support they gave you is to big or something

Well even if you think you may has osgood schlatters, you still need to be diagnosed with it and be told how to treat it. Don't just go buy a knee support, because if it turns out you don't have a problem with it and it could just be growing you can harm your knee by putting on a brace for no reason. So before you do anything go see a doctor or a knee specialist. And if you do have osgood schlatters the only way to treat it is to use the RICE method, if you are doing sports and you think you need more support the doctor will tell you what kind of brace you knee, for example a functional knee brace which is more for someone who has a acl tear. Or a Prophylactic Knee Braces, which is for anyone who does high amounts of sports, it will give the knee large amounts of support. These knee braces need to be special ordered and prescribed by your physician.

Go see a doctor first!

I agree with Resigned. My husband has this and he was told the same.

when my son was7yrs, he got Osgood schlatters, they put his leg up to the knee in plaster, left it in plaster for 4weeks.they took it of, and after about4/5 weeks he was put back into it again,at8yrs he was on mobility, which meant i got a car and with free tax, because he could not walk to far.when he left school and started work he still got it as well they told us at the hospital, the only way to help it, was by it going into plaster,it never goes away, you have it for life, and it does not help it by playing football, running. i hope this as been any help to you. xxx
