How do make heavy smoker quit smoking?!
Question: I think all you can do is give them all the facts, offer them help... like patches, hypnosis CDs, and tell them the true reasons you need them to stop. My sister started to smoke and i told her i felt like she was being selfish because if she got sick she wouldn't be the only one suffering. She stopped.

You cant MAKE a smoker quit. They have to want to do it & believe me pointing out all the pitfalls will make no difference. Smokers DO know what smoking does to their body etc.
The other 2 are right. We have to make the choice for ourselves to quit when we are ready. My parents tried to get me to quit all through high school untill they realized that it was my choice to smoke and it will be my choice to quit (which I dont really plan on doing).
