Tongue piercing help please??!

Question: a few months ago I got my tongue pierced, and though the piercing itself hurt like hell, afterwards it felt a little uncomfortable but bearable. But not even an hour after I got it done, my mom cried about it, and told me how much she hated it and wished I would take it out, this pulled at my heartstrings and I took it out. For a few weeks there was a small knot in my tongue from it but now that completely gone and it's completely healed. I really regret taking it out and want to get it put back in? Is this more dangerous than having it done once? Will it cause scar tissue to grow more? Help please?

btw- no 'why would you want to do that' or 'don't do it' answers please.

I took mine out a few months after I had it done and forgot to put it back in so it closed up. About six months later I went and had it done again. It didn't seem as bad as it did the first time. Just make sure you go to someone qualified to do it and that they use sterile equipment. Other than that, good luck. By the way, I took two tylenol pm after I had it done, slept all night and half the next day and by then the swelling had gone down and I had almost no pain.

okay, i wouldn't have done it, but i will give you some advice. If you do get another piercing then You should probably get it on a different area of the tongue. However, your mom will be even more mad at you!

i had my tongue pierced for about a year when i met my second husband he didn't like it so i took it out it healed nice. but i wanted it back so i did it again no scar and it looks good so you go for it

i have had mine done twice

they just pierce it in a different spot to avoid scar tissue that you have from the previous one

Hun when they re-pierce it . It will be done in the spot so there will be no scar tissue . My question for you is how old are you ?
If over 18 then it is your body and you and only you are in charge of your body and you have 2 live with what you do 2 it .

I got my tongue pierced about 8 years ago and kept it in for 3 years. For work reasons I had to take it out. About 9 months later I pushed it through myself which did not hurt at all. (I can still tell where the hole is and believe that I could push it through today if I wanted to. I only kept it back in for about 3 weeks because I started to have this really weird feeling in the middle of the hole and it started to hurt.

If you want it done, go for it. My mom had threatened to disown me, and although she did not like it she eventually got over it!

if you ask a question whether or no you should do something... but then say 'dont say dont do it' then you have answered your own question.
