Osteoarthritis, oh boy yes I have it!! A knee replacement...I wish!! If you have an opportunity to have it done, i suggest that you don't waste a minute.

I don't know how progressed you knee pain is now, but believe me it gets nothing but worse and worse. Don't believe all the baloney about Glucosamine and Chongrointin,
blah, blah, blah. I bought into all of that for a long time and found myself waiting and waiting for results that never came.

I have the opportunity to speak with alot of people who have had knee replacements while I am at physical therapy and they are very excited and thankful for the operation. The evidence I see is......I'm still at physical therapy and they are all off on there way with their new knees!! lol
Any chance that you have to improve your quality of life when you are suffering.....go for it!!
Good Luck, what ever you decide, i hope everything is well for you!

Yes,bones etc may mend but they never forgive. My doctor recommended Glucosamine +Omega-3 + Chondroitin. I use Seven Seas and been taking it daily for about 5 years now. I t has made a difference................

I have osteoarthritis in my knees but never have needed a knee replacement. One of my uncles however had to have his knees replaced due to the arthritis.

I have it - and I took glucosamine and all the other rubbish for years (along with cod liver oil for many many years!) - and If only with I'd bought something worthwhile with all the money it all cost me I'd be a lot happier because for me, it was all rubbish - a complete waste of time - and the size of some of those glucosamine tablets would frighten a horse ! -

My husband suffered in a similar way, doing everything he could to avoid a knee replacement, all to no avail. He had the op, reluctantly. It took a few months of exercise (to lengthen the tendons etc, once the knee was replaced), but it was a great success. He was free from pills and pain and left wondering why he'd left it so long before getting it fixed. The inability to straighten his affected knee was beginning to effect the other leg and his back.
