How do you make a homemade emetic (to make you throw up)?!

Question: I already know about Syrup of ipecac and powdered mustard, but I was wondering if anyone knows any other guaranteed emetics?
I don't like the idea of using a chemical substance like ipecac on a person if they ingest poison. It's like fighting poison with poison.
As for powdered mustard I heard it doesn't effect some people.
On any note I think it wise to have an emetic in my first aid kit just in case, since we've recently had a scare with poison ingestion in my house.

Activated charcoal is a better option. I don't know of any emetics that are natural.

Dear Lord, you are not asking this because you are bulimic, are you? Syrup of Ipecac is all I know of. I see you are referring to a first aid kit, so I'm hoping that's why you want it, but why not use SOI? That is your best bet. And if it's for bulimia reasons, please seek help, I struggled with it for 6 years. God bless.

an emetic isn't wise, but having the number of Poison Control is!

besides a finger in the throat, try putting a large amount of salt in a 6oz glass of water.

Eat Pringles and strawberries together or TUMS mixed with fish oil. Both make me throw up.

hmm. well anything that does not mix well with your stomach. but really, the easiest thing to do, and prevents disgust, is to get in a spinny chair, or stand in a tiny room, and spin like crazy and don't stop until you feel real bad. i did this at school in the bathroom once and home i went! good luck!
