What is worse pain? Emotional or physical pain?!

Question: phyical cause it can be long lasting and dangerous but the other one would disappear anyway

Answers: phyical cause it can be long lasting and dangerous but the other one would disappear anyway

Emotional. It has longer lasting impact in your mind.

Emotional pain, physical pain can be controlled or eliminated with medication Emotional pain cannot

Emotional is worse because you can take pills for physical pain

I think it can be either.

emotional.
why else would certain people "numb" emotional pain with physical?

Emotional definitely. It slowly eats away at you 24/7. Physical pain can be overcome. Emo is more difficult. So it is the worst.

Emotional pain.

emotional for SURE.

I think it really depends, because typically mental pain is something your remember for a long long time.. if you stub your toe or something you forget about it... I personally think that mental pain is worse than physical pain to an extent.... but it depends on how bad the physical pain is... mental pain can cause physical pain.... example: stress can make you have a heart attack or stroke ect.

i would have to say emotional pain because with physical pain you can take a pill and it will go away but with emotional you cant take a pill and it will be all better people think you can but you cant they try but its truly impassible doctors give medication not know what your feeling but how would they know after all when your emotional you don't even know

hope this helpes

That's an interesting question. I can say the worst pain I have experienced was emotional pain. ... But I cannot say it is the 'worst' pain. My Mom, when dieing of cancer, had physical pain beyond what I can imagine. She was taking a specially mixed morphine - a maximum dose that could (hopefully) reduce the pain without causing death, and her Dr's used the strongest pain relievers there were. But it barely touched her pain. Her physical pain clouded her. She hurt so bad she couldn't think. And her physical pain became an emotional pain. Searing and deep and she could not get away from it. ... I think some people's emotional pain does that same thing - becomes so deep and pervasive that it is also physical. It takes a hold of them. .... Which is worse? Who is to say? Who is to say their pain is worse than anothers? Pain is what the person in pain perceives it to be - and is as slight or as extreme as the individual experiencing it feels it.

Definitely emotional. An ache deep inside that won't go away is far more painful than physical pain that you can control with medications. People don't commit suicide because they have a sore knee.
