Why do we ache after exersize?!


Question: I thought I was in shape, and now we have track season, and EVERYTHING HURTS. Even my ribs and shoulders. I know I didn't pull anything, but I just wonder what makes a person sore, and what happening inside the body...

If it's soreness it's cause lactic acid is released in your muscles and it causes pain..basically signals you that your muscles have some tearing and need rest, 72 hours rest at least.

when you use muscles you haven't used in a long time, they tend to get sore from exercise. Once you get into a routine of using them, they will strengthen and you won't feel them anymore.

well if you were excercising a lot you may not have had enough oxygen to breath so you start to breath anaerobically (without oxygen) which produces lactic acid in the muscles which makes them ache
