I have suffered from Migraines for 20 years now and i have only found 2 that work Nurofen the migraine ones of course and propain plus, if i know one is coming i normaly eat some thing have a pint of water and take two tablet then in 2 hours if it hasnt gone take one more

I can relate to this so much. I have tried all the meds and I have to say, the best thing I have found is this:
I buy these patches at the store called Solanpass. I place one on the back of neck on the base of the skull and I take one to two Anacin. It doesnt have quiet as much caffiene as the excedrine so you tend to not get quite as shaky. If the migriane is really bad you can also put half of the patch on each temple for a few minutes.
The best thing to do is a log for about two months of everything you eat and so on and then find the connection between what is going on and when you get them.
Good luck

Pills are only a temporary, band-aid solution. Once I found out what was causing my migraines I was much :) better off.

The Muse

Co-codamol(?) or similar which is water soluble.
Migraines slow down the digestive system, therefore any painkiller has to be given a head start to get into the system by taking it already disolved.

I finally found what works for me. It's called Maxalt. I can take it right when the migraine starts or when it's full blown and it will always take it away. It's great!

It depends what works best for you. Asprin works pretty good for migrans but if your getting migrans alot of the time you should see a doctor because it could be a problem with your head or brain. But if it just happens once in awhile then try asprin and also lay your head down and put ice where it hurts that usually helps too.But don't keep the ice on too long at a time.

for get the tablets try this instead get a sprig of fresh rosemary put in a bowl; pour boiling hot water over it then put a towel over your head and breath in the vapours or you can just make cup of rosemary tea instead? hope you don't mind the suggestion.

Narameg from your gp and keep a food diary and sleep patterns etc and you will get to the bottom of it!

If you are in cold country use all warm things.
Pl try cold water bath and observe if in hot country, if pain increases use warm.
If you have cough/cold body hot water bath will help.
Massage and exercise in front of morning sun is good thing, pl try.
Pl try simple acupressure given below for immediate relief.
If it fails you will have to go for Acupuncture.

There is hardly any medicine for H/A OR MIGRAINE. Not only these but for RA, OA, Back ache, Ear ache/ringing, Stomach ache and almost all painful diseases. Hence they become chronic.

Acidity, WORRY, sadness, excessive wind, cold , heat, sour food and sinusitis, constipation, intestinal inflammation; drug side effects, stress, bad smell, TV & COMPUTER SOMETIMES, Blockage in the flow of Vital Energy, BODY CONSTITUTION etc are their causes.
None of them can be treated with medicine.
Our 100% success in treating migraine &H/A confirms it.

Acupuncture is the best treatment.
I can treat it with naturopathy and YOG, but how can you manage pl see.

Pain killers don't treat the pain but we loose the sense of pain for some time; in that duration our body itself treats sometime and credit goes to meds.
The useless drugs have tremendous power of side effects like liver/kidney failures, ulcer, inflammation of intestines and lot more.

Avoid late sleeping if possible; worry, tension, spicy foods, sour fruits, stale bakery foods, SMOKING and alcohole.

Sweet foods, COCOANUT WATER,sweet fruits like dates, milk, rice, SPROUTS, SALADS and good sleep will help if cough is not there.

But you try one herbal remedy- two drops of drumstick leaves' juice in opposite nostril if one side pains and both nostrils if full H/A will give you rescue. Betel leaf helps but it is very strong.

If it is acute pl search a painful point (with round tipped pen/jimmy) 3-6 mm behind your thumb nail and press it, H/A will disappear within 30 seconds.

For forehead/eye pain the points are in front of nails on the finger tips or 3-7 mm below.

It may disappear naturally too.
