Should i be worried? (bad knee)?!
Question: So i finished my first season in high school wrestling. Everything went fine but i had a lot of wear and tear on my right knee. It feels like theres a bruise on the same spot on my knee and has been there since December. I dont wrestle as frequently and dont strain it anymore but the pain is still there when i put pressure on my knee. The pain has gotten better but its still there. I was wondering if i should be worried

If it's been persisting for a while perhaps you have a torn cartilage. It doesnt go away by itself and maybe you need a clean up in there which can be done by having an arthroscope (key hole surgery). If you see and ortho surgeon he/she will probably get you to have an MRI. From there it will determine what is wrong. Arthroscopes are no biggy. Day procedure, up and walking straight away. Minimal pain. I've had 2 and looked after heaps who've had it done. Feels alot better after.
You are a young boy, not to worry much. Still you must get it examined by some specialist.
There are few exercises which you may regularly do and gain relief:
1.Sit on a chair. Put your index finger and second finger, in each of the eyes, just below (on sides) your knee cap. Press it, not too hard and activate those points for 30 seconds.
2. Give intermittent pressure at the center-back point behind your knee cap, for 30 seconds.
3. Hold your upper side of thighs, just near the knee cap and give intermittent pressure for 30 seconds.
These exercises will improve blood circulation in knee joint, thereby the pain will reduce.
This exercise has helped many patients of Knee joint pains.
